Make sure to understand as much of the concepts as possible and to never fall behind on a unit as each unit builds onto the next. The labs that are assign to students are helpful but there is no way to find out how to solve it if your a stuck since there is no key or explanation. So if you are stuck on the labs, try asking a friend, but if they still don't know ask Mr. May and listens as he asks you the same question that you ask him so in the end you will get nowhere. This class material is either a "you get it or you don't". There's no opportunity to improve as it goes very fast and once you fall behind, everything will fall down with you.
