Work together with your classmates, print out and annotate the PowerPoint slides. This instructor often won't change the slides while he's lecturing. You can do well without ever needing to open the textbook, but it may help you understand a few confusing topics if the instructor cannot help you.

Read the textbook, work with others because there can be a lot of contradictions in the work and class.
