I took Ms. Peterson's debate classes 1, 2, 3, and then opened a personal study so that I could take it a fourth year. My biggest advice would be to be kind, fair, honest, and diligent. Ms. Peterson is the kindest woman and is respectful of each and every opinion a student may have. When you build a rapport with her, she is lenient and trusting of you. There were many times I can recall where she'd let me leave class early for something, give extensions, and cut slack, all because I was a respectful and kind student. All in all, Ms. Peterson is easily one of the best teachers I have ever had, and I 100% recommend trying debate at least once.
