I've taken AP Physics C Mechanics, AP Physics C E&M, and Honors Physics with Ms. Desbrow. The classes are always laid out before hand in a schedule that is posted into a google drive folder along with all the notes, which are from NJIT notes on their websites. Homework can be a lot it if you put if off, but she gives you the homework on the outline and you usually have upwards of two weeks to do it. Notes are also turned in for an extra grade, so at least take some notes. Quizzes are graded according to the right answers AND the work written. Equation sheets are always allowed, much like the AP exams. Practice problems always end up being a step up: Honors ends up doing some AP questions and AP ends up doing college level statics and dynamics. These are ONLY the practice problems for class work, so the tests get significantly more easy because you know how to do the hard stuff. You will ALWAYS be doing practice problems, there's not a class you go without doing a practice. The Honors final is extremely easy, I scored a 52/50 because she added 5 question that she could drop to boost everyone's grades. Along with this, I scored a high 4 on the first practice test I took for both Mechanics and E&M, without studying before hand. She does NOT accept late work, especially homework and classwork grades, and the make up tests are always harder, so turn in any labs, reviews, notes, and homework in on time. Put your best foot forward, do the practice, learn how to to the problems, and turn everything in.
