Memorize some of the material yourself. He makes most formulas available for students so you only have to practice a few. Homework is almost daily so it counts for a big part of the grade.

He gets distracted very easily in the middle of his teaching, but you can easily get him back on track. He's usually available at the end of the day to answer any questions you may have, or help out with homework (even if it's from another class). If you're having any other troubles that aren't directly related to assignments, he's very easy to talk to and tries to help students best that he can. He's a teacher who actually cares about his students.
