Make sure to study for the quizzes in advance because some of the them were hard.

Make sure to actually look at the slideshow; most of the test answers are in it! Also make sure to do the inquiries as these can really save your grade, since the later tests can be hard.

Try to turn in work on time, but she is forgiving with late work.

If you're in any of the choirs, make sure you actually mark in ALL of the solfege. It doesn't take that long, and it's worth the time it takes to fill it in. Mr. Clayton is a very understanding and reasonable person, so he's very willing to work with you if you need to miss class or get an extension on a choir assignment (especially in Master Singers). I'd highly recommend any of his classes, he's truly a fantastic educator.

Just pay attention. The homework is usually the front of the front and back of a page.

The class is pretty easy, since there aren't any tests. There are a lot of assignments, but they are mostly graded on completion.

While he can be unclear, as long as you do your work, you should be okay. If you have difficulty understanding something, however, it might be more beneficial to go to google before going to the teacher.

- You will have very few tests that are worth a significant portion of your grade, so doing poorly on even one test can significantly drop you an entire letter grade (or more). - The class is very much based on memorization and not all test materials are reviewed or taught - There is no grading curve

Formatives are helpful. The questions on them are similar to the questions on the tests. Also, they help you know what concepts you’re struggling with.

Manage your time well. Study for the quizzes and tests in advance. They get harder thought out the year. Also, you’ll have to gather research and write a research paper thought out the first three marking periods. Other than that, it’s an easy class.

Make sure you actually study the information for each exam, don't just skim over things and hope for the best. Fill out any of the study guides he gives you, they help immensely with memorization. He does his absolute best to make sure you get that 5 on the AP Exam, and he certainly helped me to achieve that.
