Honestly, pay attention in class and read before class. You'll be fine.

It is a difficult class no matter the teacher. If you remember not to be intimidated by him, and you pursue his help when you need it, he will make sure you do well. I honestly do not know how you could not pay attention, but if you are someone that dozes off, don't.

Amazing guy! Super kind, super helpful, and a TON of energy. I had him in the early morning and his lessons always were exciting and made you want to pay attention. He seems like he would be strict because of how intense the class is, but he is super lenient with you and understanding of how hard junior year is. You cannot cheat your way through his class, but if you actually ask him for help, you can definitely do well. I was good at the subject, but I do not think everyone can get an A in this class. You have to be a good writer. That is something that he cannot really help you with (though he tries), But in terms of historical conceptualization, he will always give you help until he knows you understand it.
