be sure to participate a lot in class (he gives points which is an easy grade boost) and take good notes. he emphasizes concepts and overarching ideas more than specific dates and facts, which makes the class experience great but make sure you understand everything enough to make good arguments. he grades essays strictly but allows resubmissions so it's not terrible. overall a very fun and engaging class with lots of discussions, debates, and interesting projects.

engaging teacher, good at explaining concepts (make sure to ask questions if you don't understand, he's always open to explaining more or slowing down), pretty strict about rules, and the tests can get pretty tough so make sure to study and ask questions
