This class is an experience that every middle school student should go through to prepare themselves for future writing in high school and college. It has been 4 years since I have took Mr. Gannon's class, and I still look back at it as one of my most fun and fulfilling years as a student. Not sure how hard his class is now, but the first month for me was a complete shock. The length and amount of writing assignments he gave didn't compare to any other teacher in the school (about one 2, 000 word essay a month usually, with it peaking towards the end of the year with a 5, 000 word essay). However, the skills you learn will leave you thankful in the end if you don't transfer classes (which many students did). Mr. Gannon has a great personality and you can tell that he really cares for each student and wants you to succeed. Even now, towards the end of my high school years, I have yet to experience a Literature class as challenging and fulfilling as Mr. Gannon's.
