Pay attention to lectures, write down what he says to help you with getting questions right on the test but also clarity. All of the stuff he says in class is to help you understand and grasp the concept better.

Mr. Williams was the best teacher I had. His class (level 1 western civ) was the best and most rewarding class I took at Penncrest. If you have the privilege (and seriously, it’s a privilege) of having him as a teacher, enjoy every moment of his lectures. Teachers like him aren’t common in penncrest, and he is probably the most competent, nice, funny, and overall enjoyable teacher here. He is a phenomenal lecturer, he lessons were almost therapeutic. I’m taking sociology just to have him again as a teacher. Seriously, if you have Mr. Williams, you’re in good hands. Was the class easy? No! But it was challenging and grew my thinking, my studying, reading and writing skills, and overall has contributed to my success in other classes. The note taking skills was probably one of the most useful things I got out of his class. If I could take his class over again, I would. He made me love history, a subject I thought I was awful at. Even if you’re not good at history, he’ll help you in any way he can, and he understands each student is different. I don’t think I can say enough good things about him. But I can say if penncrest has done anything right, it was hiring him! PS: seriously, listen to him about saying hi in the hallway. It seems like something small and silly, but it separates you from others who don’t say hi.
