Mrs. Burlingame’s AP Human Geography class is possibly the worst class I have yet to endure at McNary. Yes, I am aware that this is an AP class that requires frequent writing and hard work. However, entirely too many assignments are given out. We receive approximately two different activities every day, often due the following day. We are then assigned homework over the weekend, and are sometimes expected to educate ourselves on certain topics. She also merely glides through slideshows (too fast if you ask me) as our main source of learning. Is it just me or isn’t a teacher supposed to teach? If you are considering taking an AP social studies class as a freshman or sophomore, PLEASE reconsider this one. Save yourself (and your GPA) the pain, half of my class is failing.
