Heavy on the essays (handwritten or typed) and multiple choice, as in any other AP class's FRQ or MCQ. By the end of the year, you will need to memorize quotes for FRQ3, but it's not necessarily required for the actual AP test. We read books really fast and analyzed them a lot. There are a couple of discussions and socratic seminars. It's important that you prepare questions or answer the pre-given questions. It's a stressful class, but I enjoyed it.
