Because this is a language class it requires much more commitment then other classes. Completing homework every day and actually memorizing material is incredibly important.

You got this!! She will help you but she’s also very strict. She gives you 3 grace days so be very wise in how you use them. Don’t waste them on stupid stuff and ALWAYS do your work on time because if you don’t, you waste a grace day and that won’t fly.

The class is extremely difficult. Do not take Spanish 1 unless you have a good amount of prior experience with Spanish and you are comfortable with doing an absurd amount of writing every Friday. Highly recommend doing the Duolingo Spanish course beforehand.

I loved Senora Guerra as a teacher and she ignited an interest in Spanish and culture that I did not have before.
Class of 2022
Mz. Guerra is as tough as her last name suggests. She will be the first to tell you this. She is the type that you either love or hate, and sadly I was in the latter category. She closes all assignments at midnight the day they are due, and as somebody who works best at night that always bothered me. She is a wonderful teacher if you like her style, and horrible if you don't.
