There is no prerequisite knowledge required to ace a Mr. Greenfield class. If you make an effort to use your apostrophes correctly (and if you make an effort to pay attention and do the work he assigns), expect an A or greater.

For those who prefer the non-AP variant of history, you'll likely have Mr. Greenfield. By the second year, I was quite possibly spoiled as far as history teachers go, not to say it was easy. He is a strict grader, but every point knocked off is one that A. ) is always meticulously justified in writing and B. ) is foreshadowed beforehand such that you'll facepalm and go "oh shoot, that's right" whenever it happens. With that said, you can dicker points with him if you make a good case, but don't come to him with a weak argument or it'll get kaput-ed real fast. He has an extremely ground-up teaching style, using almost exclusively the online textbook that he's authored and voiced in "nasaly tones. " Do note, though, that he is very willing to accept editor positions, which leads me to the next point: he is a highly individualized teacher. No matter where you come from academically, he always will always meet you somewhere that's moderately demanding but won't kill you. If you are a passionate learner who enjoys "spring boarding" ideas back and forth with teachers, Mr. G will undoubtedly be your best spring-boarder in high school and possibly college (I have yet to go through that ringer).
