I love this teacher and I know she is hard but 1 of the best I’ve ever had the chance to learn how to be a better student and person. You cannot try float by or come unprepared because she expects you to strive for excellence everyday. It’s harder than most of my classes but the payoff is truly worthwhile. I worked harder than I knew I could and i’m succeeding thanks to all of the lessons I learned in her class. She’s not like any other teacher in the best way imaginable. I think I realized much later the benefits of her class and her teaching style. Take advantage of your time with her and do not waste the semester. She will change your life if you give your best efforts and meet the higher expectations. I didn’t care for the other co teacher as much but it’s probably due to the fact Mrs slusser - hawkins is just one of the very best of the best ever! Nobody really can compare to her to be honest. There’s a ton of work but I love almost everything I learned in her class since she makes it relevant and interesting. I discovered most classes are not as engaging or beneficial as hers. I’m so proud and thankful I learned to meet her expectations and my advice is to ask for help but always be prepared, respectful, genuine and give your all because you will miss the class but the best takeaway is how it truly feels to own the information and comprehend the history and all of the information you learn about. Make no mistake this is one of the hardest classes but it’s also one of the best classes to ever exist mainly because of the teacher Jennifer Hawkins slusser. She changed my life in a positive way and i’m so lucky to have had her for my teacher!!
