Make sure to study a lot for the tests. The practice tests that he gives are not nearly as difficult as the real thing. Also, when taking a test, remember to pace yourself. Most of his tests are at least six pages, so try to answer as many questions as you can. Additionally, in class, he teaches very fast, so try to take as many notes as you can.

For his freshman class, make sure to study all the details for his tests, and go to him for help when writing an essay. Also, don't take too many notes in his class; just write down what he tells you to write.

If you make sure to listen in class and understand what she is saying, you will do well on the tests and writing. Make sure to sit next to someone smart as she will partner you and them almost every class. All of the test material is covered in class.

MEMORIZE THE VOCAB AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Don't study for quizzes the night before because you will almost definitely fail. His quizzes are mainly centered around definitions of vocab words, so make sure to study those a lot.

He gives good review sheets for tests, but it's much more helpful to review the slideshows and documents he hands us to find the answers. It's less memorization (some for historical figures, time periods, etc. ), but you have to understand the concepts.

Damn there is a lot of homework. A ton of writing. She might show you examples which have a TON of writing, but as long as you're detailed it's fine. Just make sure to be DETAILED otherwise you won't get full credit. A TON OF writing, like research too with bibliography.
