Memorize the first 20 elements and their respective atomic symbols; you will be assessed on them, so try to get a headstart if possible. Since many problems require the Chemistry Reference Table, make sure to bring it to class and use it.

Overall, Mrs. Slominski is a great teacher, driving home the important points and giving fair tests. However, at some points, the course moved a bit too slowly considering that it was an honors course. This could be partially due to the fact that honors is not that much more in-depth than regents for chemistry, but it would be amazing if her lectures could move a bit more quickly to give more time for engaging labs and hands-on activities.
