Maxwell Baldauf, 10 & 11 Chemistry

The class is relatively straight-forward. Mr. Baldauf is an excellent teacher who clearly has a very strong grasp of chemistry. He can safely answer any question you have and explain it to you. Even when things get tricky, Mr. Baldauf is dependable as an amazing source of knowledge. The homework for the class is typically note-taking from Edpuzzles and answering 1-4 questions almost 2-4 times a week. During class, you ask him questions and work on worksheets online. The only unit that doesn't follow this plan is organic chemistry. Mr. Baldauf is relatively hands-off here, which might be difficult for some students. You will be very well prepared for the Regents Chemistry exam.

Actually read the books that are assigned, I'll be honest you can get away with slacking off in English but when you actually put in the work the class is more fun. A lot of Mr. Brach's teaching style is surrounded by group discussion as a class and when you're up to date and have actually done the work it can be fun.

Get a strong relationship with Mr. Ferrara; his class becomes infinitely more enjoyable the more you interact and become close with him. I was fortunate enough to be in the first group of students he ever taught. He likes to discuss ideas found in books at length, isn't a tough grader, and the essays he assigns are manageable and flexible.

I didn't find the class too difficult. I thought concepts were explained well. There is homework daily and a weekly assignment. Overall, not too difficult if you're willing to put in the work.

The class for AP Computer Science Principles was very easy and relaxed. We meandered our way through the school year using code. org. Much of the time there was time to goof-off or talk to your friends while you did different lessons. The class was relaxed and enjoyable. Mr. Ziccardi is a very knowledgeable and layed-back person who cares about the well-being of his students. He seems very in touch with the student body and current developments in the field of computer science. I felt very prepared for the APCSP exam, although I recommend doing as many practice questions as possible to prepare.
