Labs are pretty fun, for the most part. Wound up learning new material on the last day of school, and said material was prominent on the regents, so if he does the same in the future, study as much as possible. You might need to learn a few things on your own in that scenario. The class as a whole is more fun if you genuinely like physics.

Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself if he's trying to turn you into some Mariah Carey type prodigy, especially if your range is in the lower end of the spectrum. The class runs on a 3-year cycle, so you can take it for three years and have a different experience each time. Experiences aren't always good, though. If you wind up doing the cabaret, good luck.
