This review is particularly on the CrossCat(second/third grade) teacher, KELLY JOHNSON. If you have her as your child's teacher then please BE AWARE that she will RUIN their entire year and put them much behind instead of making any progress. She abuses and humiliates the Special Needs children in her class, lowers their self esteem and never cooperates with parents when we reach out for any help or guidance. She doesn't teach them anything in class instead makes them work on Calendar and Coloring all year long. Three MAJOR COMPLAINTS from different parents have already been FILED against her with the Director of SEDOL at District 41 so she is on their radar already. Hopefully soon they realize what a WASTEFUL resource she is and get rid of her. And unfortunately, if she ends up becoming your child's teacher then constantly monitor your child's overall progress and ask them about any unfair treatment/verbal abuse in class and communicate with the Director of SEDOL or the Principal at B. J. Hooper. She approaches with a very friendly and sweet tone but with time you will realize her laziness and unwillingness to perform her basic duties as a teacher. She has caused a lot of stress and trauma in some kids so please treat this as a WARNING.
