As long as you're paying attention and doing the in-class work, you'll do great!! Genuinely one of the best teachers I've ever had.

Use the first semester to ask for extensions when you need them. Do the work and understand the timeline, but don't overwork yourself or study way too much for the exam. You'll get through it okay.

Mr. Benjamin is, without even a shadow of a doubt, the best teacher I’ve ever had. I’ll tell a short story to attempt to illustrate how incredible this dude really is. When I took his AP class in 9th grade, I thought he was a super funny dude from the first day. I remember going home that day and telling my parents how chill he was. Over the next few months, I realized how much he really cares about everybody he meets. I thought that was pretty dope. So, in an effort to get to know him better, I “accidentally” left my textbook in his room after class. At the end of the day, I met my friend and I was pretty upset about a test I’d just failed for another class. We went to his room to get my textbook though. I went into his room, screaming to my friend about how mad my parents would be if they found out about the test. Mr. Benjamin walked over and said “take a break. You’ll be fine, just take a break. Don’t do any work this weekend, just watch a show. ” He went on to recommend what was a good show (the guy has some good favorite shows and movies, and a decent taste in music too. Shoutout Smashing Pumpkins and Caamp. ), and he said “but it’s rated pg 13 so it might be a little much for you. ” He knows exactly where to joke around a little bit. Anyway, thank you Mr. Benjamin. You rock, and you should give yourself more credit than you do. To everyone else, you’re lucky to be in his class :)

Mr. Benjamin was one of the best teachers I have ever had. He connected me with his own personal experience, my classmates, and the things that all human beings have in common. I think he's the most obviously well-intentioned teachers I've ever had. He makes it clear that he is here for us, both academically and as any kind of support we may need, and treats us as respectable adults. The remarkable thing about Mr. Benjamin is that he opens up to his students about his past and his family and personal life from the beginning of the year without ever over-sharing. It's hard to describe, but I've found that Mr. Benjamin forges a connection with many of his students in inexplicable ways. I'm not sure I would have survived AP World intact and with a high score if not for Mr. Benjamin. If you see this, Brad, I'll always be grateful.
