Plenty of memorising, less about dates/times and more about context. If you have poor reading comprehension, print out your notes and learn to highlight key facts instead of trying really hard to memorise entire passages. (Even better, photocopy you textbook and mark that up instead. ) Outline your papers instead of trying to write top to bottom, you'll fill in facts as you go, and your grades are better for having more facts and good analysis on papers.
