Mr. Chugh is one of the most passionate teachers at the school and teaches AP Calculus AB in a very comprehensive manner, setting you up to have a very good foundation in future college math classes. If you pay attention in his class and do the homework, you will succeed. Unlike all the other math classes I've had at GNSHS, his passion through teaching allowed me to genuinely love math; I think this is the most important. Being in the Math Honors track during my time in GNSHS has built a toxic relationship with Maths, with tests being unnecessarily difficult and a curriculum and teaching style that genuinely makes me feel like I'm drowning. AB Calc has been tremendously easier than the other Math Honors classes in tests and overall course load. I'm not trying to flatter him, but he's one of the only teachers I genuinely respect at this school, since a lot of the other teachers do not care about the class and the student; Mr. Chugh genuinely cares. If you can't see it through his expression in how he explains "instantaneous rate of change" as a newfound magical power, you can see it through his jokes, which absolutely no one in the class is laughing about; no one laughs, but it truly does positively impact the students. Thank you, Mr. Chugh.

Mr. Chugh is one of the best teachers that you will have at South High. He is extremely passionate about math and teaches math with the hope that his students will appreciate and love math as much as him. He does not just want students to know how to get to the answer of a problem. He wants his students to truly understand the problem. He is available almost everyday for extra help. If you are struggling, he will work with you and he will never give up on you. He is very knowledgeable and you will leave his class with a new appreciation for math. He is also very considerate and makes sure to not embarrass students who do not know the answer to a question. He does this by walking around the classroom to make sure that if he calls on someone on the spot, the person that he calls has the correct answer written on their I pad. He is truly an amazing teacher who goes above and beyond to provide his students with the best math education possible.

Chugh's class was one of my favorite classes during my time at south. Too bad I only had him one year for precalc H. Though his class may be tough sometimes, he's always available for extra help and even during his free time. Honestly one of the nicest guys I've ever met. He gives a reasonable amount of homework and make sure you know how to do it or else you're gonna have some trouble during tests. Most of the exams and quizzes are no calculator and he likes to keep it that way. He teaches math so u understand why things happen and not that math happens just because it's math. You will gain a deeper understanding of why math works in this class and that's what's so special about this man. He is a math god.
