Ms. Silk embodies the spirit of Great Neck North and subsequently her students. Ms. Silk wants to contribute to and help the world around her. Whether it be extra help, student organization, clubs, sports, or other extracurricular activities, Ms. Silk always has significant regard for her students — possibly more than any other teacher in the school. Personally, I do not know a teacher who dedicates more time to the school. Without Ms. Silk, I’m not quite sure my school would even have school spirit. Though she may have hard deadlines at times, she only aims to prepare her students for the real world they will experience after their high school years; it only comes from the love she has for her students. Personally, Ms. Silk has improved my knowledge of the Spanish language to a significant extent, including being able to converse in fast conversations and write sophisticated essays in Spanish. If you even just need someone to talk to, don’t hesitate to reach out to her. Ms. Silk is a tremendous part of Great Neck North’s success. If you are looking for a Spanish teacher, club advisor, counselor, or friend, I highly recommend Ms. Silk. Ms. Silk not only drives the spirit of Great Neck North but inspires the spirit and true potentials of all her students.
