Algebra 1 is a pretty good class, but you need to keep up with the work. One big thing to know is that **papers and homework count more than the tests**, so even if you’re not the best test-taker, you can still get a good grade by doing all your assignments. It really helps to **memorize the main formulas at the beginning of the year**—like the slope formula, the quadratic formula, and others. You’ll use them a lot, and knowing them makes the class way easier. Just a heads-up: **not everything that’s on the tests is gone over in class**, so you should look over your notes and the textbook at home too. Don’t just rely on what you hear in class. Also, even though this is about the class, I have to say—**Mr. Braunstein is amazing! ** He makes the class fun and actually cares if you understand the stuff. If you keep up with the work, learn the formulas, and study a bit on your own, Algebra 1 isn’t bad at all.
