This teacher is great! We went on a trip after the AP exam, and he taught class in a genuinely interesting way. He does teach an AP class, which means it will be more difficult than a normal English class. People who may not be prepared for this could mistake it as bad teaching, but I'm sure he's the reason the heavy workload was bearable, and it would have been a far worse experience with a less competent teacher.
When you get to class, be sure to ready your homework notes and any documents listed on the board, or just ask around (it would be stuff from the previous day). Group work takes up half of the time in class and half of it would revolve around research while the other half is about recalling information.
