You better listen to everything he says, don’t you dare eat candy in his class. Try to understand the whole story in what’s happening in history rather than filling in the blanks. Prepare for the current events (twice each quarter, 8 in a year) before hand and check it over with him. PLEASE DON’T DO IT THE DAY BEFORE!!! He’s available every early morning so if you have any questions go ask him. There will be essay tests that require a lot of memorization but if you understand what he said you’ll be fine. Overall, I found his class very interesting and fun, he’s a great teacher:)

Dr. Katz is wonderful by all means. He changed my whole perspective on history and especially the American history. Everything he makes us do is for the benefit of us and no one else. Walking out of his classroom at the end of the year really made me realize how much I’ve grown because of him. Also: you could draw him something for him to hang on his wall for almost an eternity if you wanted to. Historical gifts are great too, get him something for his birthday and teacher appreciation week please. Ps: I drew on his wall (it’s the mural) if you wanted to know.
