Make sure you practice doing DBQs and LEQs in the summer. Also, I recommend you to go through Khanacademy's APUSH curriculum before attending class so you know what's going on. It's very hard to keep up with the speed of this class and having prior knowledge would tremendously help.

Mr. O'Reilly gives way more homework and grades way more harshly than any other APUSH teacher in this school. He does not provide guidance on doing DBQs or LEQs. He goes way too fast in his lectures and is not note-taker friendly. He does not care about any of his students' social emotional wellbeing and expect students to stay up until midnight to complete his assignments. Also, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get above 95 in his class no matter how hard you try. Don't expecting getting a good grade in his class. Expect to get about 10 points lower than you typically get in a normal history class.
