Do not say that you want to go out of the ESL program, and if you think you are good at English show it in your work, not talking.

Wonderful teacher. Obviously test are gonna be hard but its hard to do bad with him as a teacher. Just pay attention in class, do the homework, study properly 2 days before major tests and you will be fine. Pop check ins aren't even much of an issue as long as you are keeping up with his lessons and paying attention.

Don’t try and pull a fast one— it won’t work and she’s too smart for that!! Stay on top of the work but if you need help, ASK. Ms. Leonard will bend over backwards for you if you just show some effort

There will be various short stories/books that she assigns you to read throughout the year. Make sure you aren't just skimming through them but actually pay attention to the texts. She will have tests on them and they are pretty specific questions that you won't be able to answer unless you read the text. She is BIG on grammar and vocabulary. Focus on the rubrics that she gives for the essays and USE them in your writing.

The test reviews/homework problems are not at all similar to the tests. Study by searching for more difficult problems/having AI generate them. If you have her for geometry: focus on memorizing all of the theorems/postulates/definitions, and then practice applying them. She tests on proofs very frequently, and they are the hardest parts of her tests. If you have her for BC: almost no one finished that class with an A, but at least you'll be well prepared for the AP test. Practice problems are your best friend, especially ones from the textbook.

- lock in for the interpersonals and presentationals - make sure you get good grades on the interpretatives because those are easy MOC - do a ton of practice convos, and go to her room during lunch to get feedback

The thought process matters more than the quality of the writing. Make sure to reciprocate the same views the teacher had in every essay. Creative writing is not encouraged, instead use very strict structure and the exact theme and quotations mentioned in class disscussions.

Make sure to do all the homeworks, and ask for help if you need anything. She's really good at explaining and can almost always find a time for extra help if you need it. If you get below a certain score, she lets you do test corrections to bring it up.
