Always check the schedule, because he likes to assign 30 page readings without any mention in class and then have a reading quiz. He never posts the slideshows so if he's going too fast screenshot them to write down later. Most of the assignments are memorization based so it's a good idea to study over time and then refresh before the quiz. He starts class instantly so if you're attending class from home you can't afford to log in late. Tests and quizzes make up the majority of the grade. Not all of the important information is written anywhere on his site or the slides, so you actually have to listen and remember what he says.
