For AP Lit: Actually read the books, don't just read the sparknotes. The reading quizzes don't count a lot and sometimes he even cancels them. Make sure you stay up to date on the reading questions. You will regret it if you leave them all to the end. A lot of the class is writing, make sure you pay attention to the little things he teaches you about writing etiquette. He is not a harsh grader, you can do really well as long as you just hand everything in. If you establish yourself a good student you will be fine. The lit terms may seem like a lot but you don't really have to memorize them, just have a good understanding.

Mr. Freedman is a wonderful teacher. He is very passionate about what he teaches and super understanding and kind. Just make sure you are specific, clear, and pay attention with your assignments.
