He'll tell life stories during class. While he's doing this, keep taking notes on everything that seems important in the textbook. Then review said notes the night before a test and you're good to go. That's mostly how I got through his class. Also, raise your hand as much as possible, everyone's class participation grade starts at 70% and it's up to no one but you to get it up.

Make sure to have a good lab partner, and be prepared with all the materials given in class. This will really help you, as getting a bad lab partner is basically you begging to fail. Be careful with how you speak and act in front of Ms. Marquez. If she tells you to stop doing something, stop doing what you're doing and make sure to never do that again unless instructed. Don't open your laptop before she finishes giving instruction. Just don't piss her off.
