Make sure you complete the study guides she gives for things like the midterm and final as they are a great outline for tests. Also, test material is not always taught thoroughly so you should independently study as well.

Review writing techniques - DBQ, HAPP, and other helpful items. Use canvas and the slides she provides to do well on the test. It's recommended to make a study guide if you know a test has multiple choice. Otherwise, the DBQ's will have documents for you to use.

The textbook will be your lifeline. ALWAYS read the textbook. Don't just skim over it either, always THOROUGHLY read and understand the assigned pages or you will fail this class. Mr. Hilarczyk is known to sneak in questions from the textbook tests, even if they were never went over in class. Biology Honors will be fun and amusing with Mr. H, but don't let that distract you from completing the assignment sheet and most importantly, READING THE TEXTBOOK.

throughout each unit, take time after every lesson to write down the most important points in a google doc. by the end of the unit you will have a study guide to help you prepare for the test. this is extremely helpful in this class as mrs. holtzman tends to create questions directly from the notes given to you.

A great teacher even for a more "casual" student. She seemed like she really wanted students to learn and took care to go back over subjects people seemed to be struggling with. If you've got a question or aren't really getting something that she's trying to explain, she'll do what she can in order to help you out even outside of what's strictly class hours. Tends to be understanding about the occasional late assignment as long as it's just that, occasional. Has a good sense of humor and an interesting teaching style, personally found her class enjoyable even for someone who's not a huge science fan.

Make sure your LEQs, DBQs, and Short Responses are the best to your ability as he is a strict grader
