Every weekend you have to do an “article review” which is just finding an online article that is related to what you are currently learning and then write a paragraph summarizing it and telling how it is connected to what you are currently learning.
Pay attention and do your homework and classwork completely. Don't use your phone and chat excessively. So far in CP Algebra 2, we have used the textbook and a few packets (-> from Algebra 1) for the first two units, but don't throw the packets away as they are helpful for studying for the summative. He doesn't check homework; don't skip them and make sure you understand everything. Take advantage when at the start of class he asks if there are any questions because he will thoroughly explain and solve the problem. Also, there are one or two check-ins (formative quizzes) he gives out per unit.
Practice writing skills and writing narratives about yourself; these skills will help you in class and in the future. If you take an honors class, do all the work promptly and before it is due. Most formatives are due the day it is assigned or by the next class.
