Be prepared to teach yourself and overload yourself with work. In Brand's course, he goes through the notes so quickly that you cannot keep up with him and you end up not learning anything. In my experience, I had to go home every night and re-teach myself everything he taught us that day, which took hours. On top of that, he gives double the homework of the other class. Most of my time went into studying for this class, which ended up decreasing my grades in other classes as well. If you get Mr. Brands as a teacher, assume that you will use all of your time after school to study. Even then you might not reap the rewards of your hard work.
