The first semester is almost all review from Algebra 2 and moves very fast. most, if not all of your grade is based off of quizzes and tests. if you have a hard time focusing, sit in the front because if people are talking, she ignores it and keeps talking. if you are confused, she is very available and much more informative one on one. However, don't expect to get very far if all of your homework is done because that will be her first question. Pay attention and ask for help, and precalc/trig won't be too hard.
There is not enough teaching truly happening in the class. The students are extremely confused 90% of the time. We often are told to “figure it out” on our own with little to no closure on the topic. Most of the time our learning is not correct because we aren’t being told if what we are learning is wrong or right. We’re told to ask our peers but no one knows what’s going on. We also don’t have textbooks or outside materials.
