-Do the homework -Read the assigned reading for the books we read if you can. Some of the books are really inappropriate and disturbing, so you can skip those. If you sparknotes or litcharts the reading you'll get somewhere in the 80's range on average on the reading quizzes so for me it was a good tradeoff. -Participate in the class discussions. They are usually fun and engaging -Choose the quizlet option for vocab homework. It is so easy and saves so much time compared to the book work option

Mr. Holbrook is an awesome guy. He's a good teacher who cares about what he teaches and his students. I don't like the choices for books we had in the year, but otherwise the class was very enjoyable.
