Stay on top of your readings if you want to do well on the quizzes. There are quizzes very often after a reading is assigned! Take notes during class and study as much as you can.

Mr. Balkus is understanding and encouraging. Communicate with him if you need support. Having a solid knowledge of U. S. history is very helpful, as many of the students taking APUSH will have this knowledge upon entering the class. Doing homework is essential. Do not come to class unprepared. There is a lot of work, but it is doable if you have enough time. There is also a good amount of group projects.
