Study at home and use outside resources (e. g. internet, sibling, parents), otherwise you will fall behind in math. Focus on small details on test because they are comprised of very few questions.

Class of 2020
This teacher does not teach anything to the students as the class depends on “peer learning”. She sends students home to work on problems from Phillips Exeter Academy. Students then discuss these problems with one another in class to occupy the whole class with almost no student teacher interactions in the traditional sense. She will sit at her desk in the corner of her room looking at her iPad the entire class, leaving students to their own devices. This means that students, who are naturally unable to understand the math that they are supposed be learning, are also “teaching” this math to their peers. This poor style of “teaching” in her classroom has translated to the high school education of Carlisle students, as math teachers from the high school have reported that the Carlisle students from the class of 2018 (the first class that she taught) and all of the following classes, are significantly less prepared for their high-school math classes. When Mr. Quaden taught 8th grade math at Carlisle, Carlisle students were ahead of Concord students in math. The students from the class of 2018 and on had no other changes in their middle school math team, so Anne Spiegel’s teaching styles are clearly detrimental to the education of all Carlisle 8th graders. At such a critical time in the education of these students, Anne Spiegel is clearly an unfit teacher.
