Sometimes having prior knowledge of history is very important (if you want to earn a snack). Also develop a special connection with him because having something to talk about is so fun. For example, he used to be neighbors with my relatives and now we talk about that all the time. Also, it's not hard to stay focused, The difficult part is feeling confident in your writing. The teachers in the room are excellent and it always feels like a safe space. I'm typing this as I'm supposed to be writing an essay but wtv. Overall, Flaherty is a special person and always treats his students like their his bestfriend's but also so kindly.

History class was fun, lots of country/fact memorization quizzes but you can retake them till you get 100s. I knew some kids who left class with a 120%. Plenty of extra credit
