Ms. Ray teaches two classes - Literature and regular English classes. Lit is an elective but one that I HIGHLY suggest. Literature is so fun and interesting - you learn about a lot of different things and read interesting books. You will often have mild homework but a lot of classwork. It is very interactive. Ms. Ray is a very outgoing person (however scary when angry!!! ) and will seem unapproachable but is, in reality, just another teacher that wants to help students excel.

This class is super fun, as long as you do the work. Some of my friends slacked off in this class, blowing it off as an elective, and ended up hating Ms. Ray and the class. Do the work, and you'll love it. Literature in the Humanities is basically a really fun history class. You have to do a lot of reading, but if you don't consider yourself a good reader, don't worry; Ms. Ray makes completing the work easy for everyone. Last thing: Ms. Ray is very liberal and it shows in her lesson plans. If you are conservative and don't want a teacher with different views than you, don't take this class.

I don't remember too vividly everything about this class, but I do know that I had a pretty easy time. It's not that difficult to keep up with everything, but I'll warn you that the stalker project (or the naming project or whatever) can creep up on you pretty fast if you don't start working on it pretty early on.

I don't remember too vividly, but I know that she was very friendly but also could be pretty stern at times. Of course, no tapping pencils or reading in reading class. She's a great teacher and honestly one of my fondest memories at Eastern
