Focus. Pay attention. TAKE NOTES. Study them, and don't rely on cheating. Don't goof off too much, and make sure that you don't slip during this class. Study the basics, even if there isn't a test, because it's insanely helpful in the future. Highlight the readings during the IPA, and do the comprehension questions at home. Write a rough draft of your essays and script beforehand and get feedback from your teacher and peers. Don't be afraid to ask for help. DON'T RELY ON GOOGLE TRANSLATE. Do your homework, study for tests, remember the basics, and it will pay off.
