Overall, Augustin is a very nice teacher. However, taking French 4 was a tough experience. There is a lot of french history involved rather than the language itself. He will help you if you ask. Tough grader and does not curve

Take notes and put in some effort. A lot of students treat his class as a free period. That's a disservice to yourself and the teacher. The class is vocabulary heavy. Memorize the vocab and you're set.

Take his class to learn how to properly read and write. There is a lot of essay writing and reading, and the class can be rigorous at times, but it's never overwhelming. The skills you learn are extremely valuable. The work prepares you for college and helps you become a stronger writer.

Be polite, and participate in class whenever possible! Make sure you pay attention so you can answer questions if she calls on you during teaching. If doing virtual school, turn on your mic > typing in chat, because she doesn't always notice the chat
