I took Precalculus GT, this class was definitely very challenging but I found it very interesting as well. She will tell you what you will need to memorize for quizzes and tests. There are a lot of trigonometric identities you must memorize in order to be successful in this class. We normally have at least one quiz a week with a test every month. Expect a graded class work the day after you learn new material ( those are open note). If you are on A/B day schedule you might get a 4 minute break where you can go on your phone. Most of the tests were no calculator but some tests had calculator sections

This class is the easiest class you will ever take. If you are somewhat decent at French, this class should be an easy A. Most of the class is in French but it is very easy to follow along. Most of the time, the class moves very very slow and you will end up with a lot of free time. Most of class is spent doing group activities, watching videos, and playing games that require running around the halls. After every unit there is either a projet or an exam that covers all the vocab and grammar concepts you have learnt. Although it seems intimidating the exams are very easy.

Do not ask for help as she will not give you a clear answer. Pay attention carefully to what she asks because she will not want to repeat it twice. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PHONE WHATSEVER. There is a lot of writing so be prepared.

BC was one of my favorite classes! There is a TON of attention that you have to pay if you want to do well in this class. I did just that, and it was probably the best experience I have had learning math. You can't really cheat the class, you either know the content or you don't. It's that simple. Which is a good thing because Galbreath is actually the GOAT math teacher. He explains himself so clearly and makes sure that students understand what he is saying. If you put some effort into his class, you will have a good time. If you are ready to put a significant amount of effort into learning BC, Galbreath is hands down the best chance you will have to do it. Don't wait for college to take calc 2, just take Galbreath if you want to do STEM as he's such a great teacher.

Participate a lot, this will help you learn the content. Ask teacher questions, he will be more than happy to help you. Keep binder organized so you can easily reference them. Pay attention, do not go on your phone during class and do not eat snacks. He is not super chill but he is a very good teacher who knows his content. He makes history very interesting and engages you.

Foundations of Tech is a very light class. There are calculations, but they are very simple and easy to memorize. A journal is required however it is not needed, loose leaf paper is just fine in a folder. It is not a writing intensive class. The exams are very easy and there is no need to study for them, instead review or skim notes before exam. Projects are assigned very often and you will work with wood and other materials. Keep hair up and always use goggles. Safety is very important in this class.

- pay attention in class, Kaplan always finds a way to make the class interesting. he is a good teacher, but not so great AP teacher, as you will see later. if you don't understand something, ask him and he will explain it eloquently, but you have to ask for it, otherwise he won't explain the concept - do your flashcards and outlines. outline checks test your memorization of specific parts of the textbook and quizzes your conceptual understanding. the flashcards are sometimes graded so its better to be prepared than not. you will have at least one flashcard check every unit. - don't try to be fancy and use some ai generated outlines, they will only waste your time. just do the outlines, they're easier than you think - Kaplan does not teach the concept itself, but rather demonstrates applications of it: it is up to you to prepare the concepts - if you have to do an assignment and you're only partially finished, ask Kaplan if you can turn it in late. If he says yes, turn it in late instead of turning it in incomplete. his late credit policy is very generous, at only -5% per day - do not think prior knowledge is going to carry you through the class. it's not. Kaplan treats this class as a college-level class. - make sure you thoroughly know the material, as the tests are mostly memorization, especially in the latter half of the year - listen to writing advice. Kaplan believes his frq method is superior to all other writing methods. It certainly is for Frq #1, #2 and argumentative essay #4. - disregard ALL writing advice for the SCOTUS FRQ #3; only follow the advice for the in-class assignments, do not use on the actual exam as it is ineffective and will waste your valuable time on exam day. On the actual exam, they are not expecting you to write 4 paragraphs, they're only expecting three, and there is practically no difference between the SCOTUS FRQ and FRQs 1 and 2. - he does not hold favorites, but he grades you to the best of your ability. effort matters to Kaplan a lot, especially on outline checks.

Do the assigned homework as she checks almost all the time for complete of it. Pay attention as the content is being taught and get ready to write notes. Study, study, STUDY! Also, ask for help! Mrs. Lorenz is so open to help as she is very passionate about helping her students. Do not go on your phone or eat snacks during class.

American government in general does require a small amount of memorization in order to succeed in the course. The tests and projets are easy and there is little to no homework although sometimes at home projects take a long time.

Remember to actually do the programs yourself instead of copying from online, as technical and syntax knowledge is going to be necessary for the AP exam if you decide to take it. In addition, you will learn to do the code more efficiently for the assignments if you're actively building an understanding of the material rather than guessing and checking, just to get the assignment done.

He's one of the best and most supportive teachers for music classes. He will help you no matter what and is supportive of you even if you are not that good at a instrument.
