AP World is obviously a difficult, dense subject, but there are a few things that can insure your success in this class. You definitely have to improve your time management skills, especially since you will probably be juggling several other hard classes during Junior year. Keep up with your work and study throughout the year. Take a few minutes after school each day to review the material we went over in class or to read the textbook to consolidate the information.

AP World is a great class. It might seem daunting at first because all of the content you have to cover from the beginning of mankind. However, the work is manageable with constant rate of 25 pages of the textbook per week, with a small homework assignment that usually doesn't even comprise of a whole essay. Also its not so bad because you focus on themes and trends in history rather than specific events. So, only remember a few specific events per time period to give as examples on your DBQ, SAQ or LEQ. Even though the multiple choice quizzes about the chapter might seem more specific, by doing the practice exams that come on the same website as the online textbook you should be fine because some of the questions there might even be on your quiz word for word.
