Make sure you don't procrastinate in this class. Although it may be tempting to start an essay/ assignment later if it isn't due for a while, you can get better feedback and revise your essays more if you start early. Always give your greatest effort towards every assignment, because how you do in the class is usually a pretty good indicator of how you will perform on the exam. Make sure you manage your time well in this class as Ms. Logan typically gives you several assignments at a time.

Ms. Logan really helped me prepare well for the AP Lang exam. She provided us with several opportunities to practice the multiple choice portions of the exam as well as several timed writings. Although the timed writings were a nuisance during the year, it really helped me feel comfortable with the pressure of writing essays under a time constraint. She is a pretty harsh grader, but as long as you take her feedback, you will definitely improve and grow as a writer in this class. Sometimes it is frustrating that she doesn't provide enough feedback for certain essays and will give you a certain grade without really explaining why.
