Outside of daily participation, quizzes are the most important part of the class. Make flashcards or study with other classmates to prepare. Also, the curriculum requires that you be comfortable being in the same room and handling multiple animals, including birds, snakes, and various rodents. You'll also be asked to go outside as a class occasionally, weather permitting. If you are scared or uncomfortable about that, get your science credit elsewhere. Beyond that, I recommend taking this class.
