In 7th Grade ELA, there are many great opportunities for you to succeed in Mr. Bolz's class. You will have an expected amount of AR points to earn during the quarter, and it is by far not hard to obtain if you balance your time well and give yourself time to efficiently read books at your level and complete AR tests. Try to read one or two small books a week (books that give 2-3 points) or more if you're up for a challenge so you don't have to worry about points upon the end of the quarter. Vocab tests primarily require memorization, and it helps to make a Quizlet with any vocab terms/prefixes/roots/suffixes you need to know for test day. For reading tests, it helps to reread the story or content you are being tested on the night before and review any information that may be confusing so the content will be fresh in your mind. When writing papers, make sure you are using proper MLA format and checking your grammar along the way so your paper is well-written.
