Make sure you prepare for the additional question at the end of each major quiz. You must be involved with this class in order to succeed - it is a classic case of "you get what you put in. " Do your readings and pay attention and be involved during lecture, and he will be willing to work with you if you run into a deadline issue.

Mr. Gordon is an intelligent and eloquent speaker who genuinely cares about the subject far more than most high school teachers. A lot of kids drag him for his course regimen but it is really because they aren't used to putting in genuine effort for class. There is a major project called "Witnessing Public Policy" in which you will have to attend a real governmental meeting outside school on your own time, but he is very lenient with grading so long as you actually do the project. Keep up with the class pace.
