Make sure to pay attention in her course and ask questions when you are confused!

- If you struggle with paying attention, make sure you at least pay attention during notes. This helped me earn an A in the class. - Ask questions. Mrs. Mayhew is great at answering them and will never make you feel bad about not knowing something, but she may get frustrated (understandably) if she has repeated it several times already. - This is the class that has been most similar to a college course. Treat it like one. - Pee before class. - If you hate studying (just being realistic), use Quizlet the night before to learn at least the definitions of all the terms from the notes. - Just be a respectful student. A lot of students don't give Mayhew a chance because of her strictness, even though she is a very knowledgeable teacher and just needs some of your time to explain complicated topics.
